The National Instruments Smart Camera line now has three new family members— the NI 1744, NI 1762, and NI 1764.

The National Instruments Smart Camera line now has three new family members— the NI 1744, NI 1762, and NI 1764 (see the figure). The top-end model features a 1.3-Mpixel camera with 1280-by-1024 resolution and a 720-MHz Texas Instruments DSP augmenting the 533-MHz PowerPC engine that can run LabVIEW applications. LabVIEW is National Instruments’ graphical programming language. Pricing starts at $3999.
