The MAXQ1065 ultra-low-power cryptographic controller with ChipDNA for embedded devices from Analog Devices offers cryptographic functions for root of trust, authentication, secure boot and firmware updates, encryption, and Transport Layer Security (TLS) support.

A security coprocessor with turnkey cryptographic functions, the MAXQ1065 features 8 kB of secure storage for user data, keys, certificates, and counters with user-defined access control and lifecycle management. The device also is equipped with a configurable output pin and a tamper input pin. Commands are accessible through a standard SPI interface.

DeepCover embedded security solutions protect sensitive data with multiple layers of advanced security for secure key storage, protecting against device-level security attacks. Invasive and noninvasive countermeasures include active die shield, encrypted storage of keys using the ChipDNA PUF technology, and externally callable algorithmic subroutines.

The MAXQ1065 SPI evaluation kit has the hardware and software necessary to use the MAXQ1065GTC+ from a personal computer, a Raspberry Pi, an Arduino compatible board, or any other motherboard. It consists of five MAXQ1065GTC+ devices in a 12-pin TDFN package and a MAXQ1065 12-pin TDFN evaluation socket board. 

The device makes it fast and easy to implement full security for embedded, connected products without requiring firmware development. The MAXQ1065 coprocessors can be designed-in from the start or added to an existing design to guarantee confidentiality, authenticity, and integrity of the device.
