Pairing the company's Aureus audio digital signal processors with application know how from Mistral Software yields a virtual CD changer (VCDC) reference design that could help replace the traditional mechanical CD changer in the future. Reportedly, VCDCs rip and store CDs, making the virtual changers less expensive, easier to use, and more reliable than mechanical systems while maintaining the look and feel of a traditional CD changer.
