Board Controls Fractional Horsepower AC Induction Motors

Feb. 1, 1999

Controlling the speed of fractional horsepower ac induction motors, the VSAC 1000-115S250 and VSAC 1000DC-48S75 control boards interface with virtually any control input and use firm's proprietary µC and software algorithms and include analog, digital and power electronics. VSAC 1000-115S250 boards operate at 115 ac with an input current of 5A at frequencies of 45 to 60 Hz and output power of 250W, and VSAC 1000DC-48S75 boards operate at 12 to 48 vdc input delivering up to 75W. PWM switching frequency is 16.9 kHz and output frequency is around 120 Hz. Operating temperature is 0°C to 40°C. Board dimensions are 3" x 4.25" x 2" and they weigh 3 oz.
