These new, oval-shaped LEDs provide the means for constructing displays for use outdoors in ambient light conditions and are particularly well-suited for use in large area outdoor displays, such as video sign-boards and stadium displays.
The BL-W Series of oval LEDs has a wide horizontal viewing angle to maximize the display's visibility from both front and side views. The Ultra Bright Red AlInGaP LEDs employ a semi diffused lens, emit an enhanced, brilliant light at 2200 mcd and 20 mA, and have a 5.7 x 7.9 mm footprint. They also feature a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 80°C. And typical pricing in production quantities ranges from $0.10 to $0.35 each with delivery from 4-6 weeks.
