Designed to drive DSP applications, the CHAMP-AV IV CompactPCI board supports four 1.5 GHz MPC7448 PowerPC processors, more than doubling the processor performance of its predecessor, the CHAMP-AV I. This AltiVec-based DSP engine also employs the company's QuadFlow architecture, which supports four simultaneous node-to-node transfers to deliver a total data flow of 3.2 GB/s peak. Each node transfers data to adjacent nodes at speeds up to 1.6 GB/s peak. Other features of the board include up to 48 GFLOPs of peak computational power, 256 MB or 512 MB of DDR-250 SDRAM, and dual 100-MHz, 64-bit PCI-X interfaces. Pricing starts at $14,900.
