Vertical Battery Holder Has Small Footprint

Aug. 1, 2000

Said to possess the smallest footprint of any standard CR2032 holder, the company's new vertical battery holder for CR2032 lithium batteries occupies only 6 mm x 22.5 mm on the board. The through-hole unit is specially designed to prevent inverse mounting, inverse polarity and damage from leakage current. The design extends the nickel-plated, spring-steel contact on the positive side to form a retaining .0 clip that firmly secures the cell in place and allows fast, easy replacement. Temperature range is -50°C to +125°C. Pricing in less than $0.25 each in production quantities.
