Easing the migration of 32-bit real-time control to cost sensitive applications, the company’s latest USB-based tools evaluate Piccolo 32-bit TMS320F2802x MCUs for the development of energy-efficient, real-time control applications such as solar power micro-inverters, LED lighting, white goods appliances, and hybrid automotive batteries. First up, the Piccolo controlSTICK features an on-board USB JTAG and provides access to all control peripherals through header pins. It comes with a 32-KB limited Code Composer Studio IDE and example projects. Also available, the Piccolo USB experimenter’s kit includes a Piccolo controlCARD and also features USB JTAG emulation with a connection for an external emulator and power supply, access to all MCU pins, and a 32-KB limited Code Composer Studio IDE.
