The Audio-Mojo development tool promises to simplify the task of adding digital filtering to audio applications, the likes of equalizers and crossovers. Audio-Mojo employs the QF1D512 Simple, which is an embedded single-channel precision digital filter chip, and the SavFIRe FIR engine. It also has an embedded audio codec that allows verification of audio performance using analog inputs and outputs. The tool can interface with the company's QF1D512-DK development kit to allow viewing of filter performance as well as to edit or create unique filter responses. Once the filters are designed to spec, they can be downloaded into non-volatile memory on the Audio-Mojo board, which later can be deployed standalone in the final application. In standalone mode, the Audio-Mojo requires just an external 5V supply. Price is $59.95. QUICKFILTER TECHNOLOGIES INC. Allen, TX. (214) 547-0460.
