The SEL-351S Protection and Breaker Control relay offers a comprehensive suite of directional overcurrent elements, a set of operator controls, reclosing control, monitoring, metering, fault locating, and system integration features. The relay also provides enhanced features that aid in optimizing distribution protection and service while lowering overall costs, it's claimed. For retrofit projects, the device replaces older electromechanical overcurrent and reclosing relays, panel-mounted control switches, indicating lights, and metering devices in circuit breaker control applications. It also provides SCADA type RTU functions for remote monitoring and control purposes. The easy-to-use operator control interface features a large front keyboard with local display panel and programmable control interface pushbuttons that can replace external control switches and wiring at breaker control panels.
