Making it easy to probe and quickly switch ICs on boards with SMT lands only, the CA-QFE128SD-G-Z-01 has a clam-shell-style zero insertion force (ZIF) socket on top and a gull-wing surface-mount foot on the bottom. The QFP gull-wing surface-mount foot is a true emulation of a QFP package that solders to a target board QFP land pattern with simple hand soldering procedure. The top part of the adapter plugs into the foot through a gold-plated ultra grid-array pin interface assembly. A high signal integrity is accomplished using short trace lengths and gold-plated pins. Other top and bottom interfaces are also available. Price is $736.
