Digital I/O Cards Sense Higher V And I Levels

April 1, 2002

The KPCI-PIO32IOA and KPCI-PDISO8A are digital I/O cards developed for the PCI bus. They are said to provide an optimal solution for high-level digital sensing and switching applicationsÑup to 60V and 350mAÑthat is beyond the capacity of traditional TTL-baseddigital I/O cards. The 32-channel KPCI-PIO32IOA and 16-channel KPCI-PDISO8A are designed to monitor and control a wide variety of industry standard 12V, 24V and 48V loads, such as relays, motors, alarms, lamps, and machine vision and robotic systems. Both cards are optically isolated and offer high voltage transient protection. They are capable of direct, non-polarized switching and sensing of signals in the range of 0 to 60 Vdc or 0 to 30 Vacrms and can handle load currents up to 350 mA. The cards also contain selectable low-pass input filters.Pricing for KPCI-PIO32IOA is $399 and for KPCI-PDISO8A is $249. A 32-bit DriverLINX software package is bundled with the boards.
