A 55-member family of parameterizable, high-performance mega-functions for complex digital signal processing systems includes solutions for wireless and broadband communications, imaging, and error control coding applications. Specific DSP products include multipliers, finite impulse response filters, FFT functions, and Reed-Solomon encoders and decoders. In addition, FLEX DSP mega-functions tap the advantages of the firm's FLEX architecture to enable performance, board-space, and cost improvements relative to application specific standard products or ASIC solutions. The FLEX DSP mega-functions utilize a small portion of the PLD, leaving plenty of space for system-level integration. They're well-suited for demanding real-time applications, such as wireless and broadband communications, imaging, pattern recognition, and spread spectrum systems.
