Allowing designers to substitute flash memory in applications where the environment is too harsh for mechanical hard disk or floppy disk drives, the PCM-DOC PC/104-compatible Flash Disk Storage module can store from 8 to 288 MB on a single board. The module can be used to store programs and data for applications such as data collection and logging, embedded Internet appliances, communications and so on. Flash data retention is valid for at least 10 years without power applied. The storage module is based upon M-Systems' DiskOnChip (DOC) technology. The module has dimensions of 3.6" x 3.8", weighs 7 oz., and is fully PC/104 compliant. Pricing starts at $99 without memory.
