Pre-loaded on the RCM3365 RabbitSys core module, the RabbitSys operating system (OS) provides program reliability for Ethernet-enabled embedded applications. The OS allows users to update, monitor, configure, detect, diagnose, and debug embedded systems from remote locations. It increases reliability by providing extensive feedback during development and debugging cycles while safeguarding access to system resources including I/O and system memory. Going beyond the development environment, the remote capabilities let programmers raise e-mail alerts when a software failure occurs. A development kit is available that includes a RCM3365 module, prototyping board and Dynamic C development software. Prices for the OS are $299 (CD-ROM) and $289 (download). The development kit sells for $409.RABBIT SEMICONDUCTOR, Davis, CA. (530) 757-8400.
