Responding to requests for an efficient and economical test retention system for ASIC and FPGA package and chip qualification, the company now manufactures an assortment of custom test fixtures within the ET 5100 product line. The components reportedly address the inefficiencies of medium volume applications and provide high-speed socket and interconnect solutions for single and multi-site test applications at an economical price. Applications include medium volume testing, development, debug, failure analysis, and programming. Additionally, the company can provide the entire fixture design including test board and fixtures can be designed to accept single chip packages or a group of chip packages in panel form. The socket, included with the fixture, can operate at bandwidths up to 23 GHz with -1 dB of insertion loss and pitches down to 0.1 mm. EMULATION TECHNOLOGY INC., Santa Clara, CA. (800) 232-7837.
