Carrier Board Is For VME64x Systems

Nov. 1, 1998

Designed to meet I/O requirements for any VME64 Extension-based system, VIPC664-ET carrier board includes four IndustryPack sites and supports four single-wide modules or two double-wide IP modules. It is compatible with more than 125 IndustryPack modules for various I/O functions, such as analog, digital, serial, motion control, telecomm, and fieldbus. Three interrupt modes provide a flexible programming architecture. And an on-board 2 MB of flash is provided for general-purpose storage. Interrupt capabilities are provided for interrupt driven flash programming and erasure. The power check circuit and status registers verify power to the IndustryPack slots with an LED indicator and software accessible status bit and interrupt. EMI gaskets and ejector-injector handles are provided for the front panel to meet VME64x and IEEE 1101.1 requirements.
