Targeting space-constrained systems such as PDAs and notebooks, the NC7SZ-57P6 and NC7SZ58P6 can be configured to any one of five two-input logic functions. Additionally, one or both inputs can be inverted. The devices are capable of replacing functions normally achieved by two separate SC70 packages. With a footprint of 2.1 mm x 2.0 mm, these SC70-6 packages require one-third the space on a pc board of most 8-lead devices, saving designers board space and cost.
Both are members of the company's ultra-high-speed family of TinyLogic devices. They are fabricated with advanced CMOS technology to achieve high speeds with high output drive while maintaining low static power dissipation over a broad VCC operating range (1.65V to 5.5V).
Available now, the devices are priced at $0.26 each/3,000.
