PMC-Based DSP I/O Card Cuts Time And Costs

Dec. 1, 2000

Claiming to reduce both development time and costs, the PMC ENET-1 PMC-based card includes integrated I/O and DSP hardware and software for a broad range of applications. The card is designed to provide both deployable Ethernet and serial ports on a single PMC card. It can be used in 3.3 or 5V environments with either front or rear panel I/O.
Front panel features include an RJ-45 and a micro DB-9 port. Via an Intel 82559 integrated MAC/PHY device, the board can operate in 10 Base-T or 100 Base-TX modes.
The baud rate of the serial port is determined by jumper settings that are sensed at power up. Pricing starts at $795 with delivery from four to six weeks ARO.
