The PQ60xxxSMx series of dc-dc converters consists of next-generation, board-mountable, isolated, fixed switching-frequency dc-dc converters which are useful for telecom and other low-power applications. These converters use synchronous rectification to achieve extremely high power-conversion efficiencies of up to 88%, require no minimum load, and deliver up to 50 W of power with minimal derating. Units are available in three configurations, including open-frame (SMA); open-frame, low-profile (SML); and encased (SMC). All come with identical industry-standard pin-outs. The PQ60xxxSMx series dc-dc converters are available in a single-output configuration, and will accept a wide range of input voltages from 35 V to 75 V. Eight module versions are offered with outputs ranging from 1.2 V to 15 V, including 1.2 V, 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V, 5.0 V, 12 V and 15 V. Power and current levels are available ranging from 30 to 50 W and 3 to 25 A, respectively. Sample and production quantities are available immediately with a lead time of stock to 10 weeks. Prices start at $32 each in lots of 1000. SYNQOR, Boxborough, MA. (978) 849-0600.
