VME Single-Board Computers Carry Faster Pentium CPUs & More Memory

The firm's VMIVME-7696 (Pentium II-based) and VMIVME-7697 (Pentium III-based) single-board computers are now available with up to 512 Mbytes of SDRAM and with 450-MHz and 600-MHz CPUs, respectively. The boards' 96 Mbytes of bootable flash, battery-backed SRAM, three 32-bit timers, and software-programmable watchdog timer make them suited for real-time embedded applications.For Windows NT and RTX applications, a high-performance S3 Trio3D AGP graphics adapter with 4 Mbytes of SGRAM is provided. The boards also include fast/wide SCSI-2 and 10/100-Mbit Ethernet support, as well as support for diskless operation with booting from Ethernet or flash. The 6U VMEbus boards come with a full complement of I/O and support numerous real-time OSs. Applications include factory automation and data acquisition.
