DAC Optimized For Use In High Resolution Video Apps

Providing a conversion rate of 180 MHz, the FMS3818 D/A converter is fabricated using 0.35 µm CMOS technology and is optimized for use with 3.3V power supplies. The device is designed for use in systems requiring XGA, SXGA and UXGA resolutions and is said to require few external components. Offered as an extension of the company's FMS38xx series of converters, the new DAC also features power-down control, double-buffered digital inputs, an on-board band-gap voltage reference, and an operating temperature range from 0¡C to 70¡C.
