Optimized for driving plasma display panels, the PDP-SPMTM series consists of two smart power modules: the FVP12030 energy-recovery circuit module and the FVP18030 sustain circuit module. Each integrates multiple pre-tested HVICs, buffer ICs, IGBTs, and diodes into a single, thermally enhanced 44 mm x 26.8 mm Mini-DIP. The modules replace as many as 20 discrete devices with two compact modules, freeing up board space while increasing system reliability and boosting noise immunity. The FVP12030 integrates twelve components, two HVICs, two buffer ICs, two IGBTs, and six diodes, while the FVP18030 packs two HVICs, two buffer ICs, two IGBTs, and two diodes. Price for either module is $15 each/1,000. FAIRCHILD SEMICONDUCTOR, San Jose, CA. (408) 822-2314.
