The versatile FH12 series provides designers with high-reliability, space-saving FPC/FFC connectors. The connectors, which come with contact pitches of 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm, are easy to use. The flip-lock actuator requires only 6.9 N of force to lock, compared to 39.2 N for a comparable FPC/FFC connector. Also, the flip lock has a mounted pc-board height of just 2 mm. Available in top- or bottom-contact-point configurations and horizontal- or vertical-mount styles, the FH12 connectors use typical 0.3-mm-thick FPC/FFC; one version can use 0.18-mm-thick FPC. Insulation resistance is 500 MO at 100 V dc, with a maximum contact resistance of 50 mO at 1 mA. The connectors’ current rating is 0.5 A dc, with a voltage rating of 50 V ac. Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to 70°C. The FH12 series connectors are well-suited for use in notebook computers, printers, PDAs, digital cameras, and many other applications.
