Operating over the PCI bus, the AD8-650x2DMA a/d converter board is capable of continuously acquiring two simultaneous channels, each at rates up to 800 Msamples/s and storing up to 4 Gsamples of uninterrupted data on each. While sampling, the board’s 64-bit, 66-MHz PCI DMA engine can concurrently transfer data from on-board memory to the PCI host at speeds in excess of 300 MB/s. The board is externally triggerable and can operate with an internal or external clock with any frequency from 1 MHz to 800 MHz. Other features include 50W inputs with SMA connectors and the ability to measure signals with a full-scale amplitude of ±350 mV. Typical applications include wideband surveillance, radar, sonar, microwave component testing and characterization, NMR/MRI development and other applications requiring continuous recording of large amounts of analog data at very high speeds. Single unit price is $13,995 and includes drivers and sample C programs for Solaris 8 and 9 UNIX. An optional dual-board bridging package is available for $995. Ultraview Corp., Orinda, CA.
