With robust, reliable performance in a compact package, the 900 SS MicroHopper is a 900-MHz, frequency hopping spread-spectrum radio for applications in handheld data collectors, facility access and security systems, irrigation systems, remote cameras, and more. The 2.5" x 1.75" board supports multiple network configurations, including point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint, as well as both client-server and peer-to-peer configurations.Networking capabilities are extended by a fully addressable guaranteed delivery mode, in which the receiver will confirm successful receipt of each data packet. If the transmitter does not receive delivery confirmation within a specified time frame, it will automatically retry until the packet is successfully delivered. In addition, the board can act as a repeater radio to extend network range. Support is provided for interface data rates from 2400 bps to 19.2 kbps with effective communication distances of 5 miles (line of sight). Developer kits are available.
