Flash MCU Line Adds 16-/8-Bit Members

Seven additions expand the company's flash microcontroller line with a 16-bit MCU and six 8-bit devices, all based on SuperFlash technology. Available in a 14 mm x 14 mm, 100-pin LQFP, the TMP91FY42FG 16-bit MCU integrates: 256 KB of flash memory;

Seven additions expand the company's flash microcontroller line with a 16-bit MCU and six 8-bit devices, all based on SuperFlash technology. Available in a 14 mm x 14 mm, 100-pin LQFP, the TMP91FY42FG 16-bit MCU integrates: 256 KB of flash memory; 10-bit, 8-channel a/d converter; 8-channel, 8-bit timer; 2-channel, 16-bit timer; and watchdog timer. In terms of I/O, a 2-channel SIO/UART, I2C interface, support for IrDA version 1.0, and 81 I/O ports round out the piece. Additional on-board memory includes 16 KB of RAM, 4 KB of mask ROM, plus support for external memory expansion to 16 MB. The 8-bit MCUs offer flash memory configurations ranging from 16 KB to 60 KB and various RAM, peripheral, and packaging options. Two devices include a LCD controller and all employ a TLCS-870/C CPU core. Price for the TMP91FY42FG is $6.45 each/10,000. Prices vary for the 8-bit devices depending on specs.
