Radio Boards Wedge Up To Four DSPs In One Slot

Aug. 1, 2000

Using up to four digital signal processors (DSPs) in a single VME or cPCI slot, the CHAMP-DR software-programmable radio boards provide four-channel receivers or dual-channel transceivers. They incorporate the company's common heterogeneous architecture for multi-processing (CHAMP), which is claimed to deliver the highest throughput available. The boards use signal processing elements coupled to 14-bit a/d front-end tuners to achieve data transfers greater than 200 Mb/s. Prices start at $21,000.
