Embarking as the next-generation of serial communications adapters, the Model USB-FLEXCOM4 offers a choice of four field-selectable RS-232, RS-422, or RS-485 protocols per port. The board conforms to the USB/104 form factor for mounting in either PC/104 or USB/104 stacks and is available in a small, industrial enclosure or as an OEM board with no enclosure. Features include a type-FT232BM UART with 384-byte receive/128-byte transmit FIFO buffers, simultaneous data speeds up to 921.6 kb/s, an extended temperature range, and DIN-rail mounting provisions.
