Adapters Allow Any SMT IC Package To Mate With PLCC Sockets

A new series of Correct-A-Chip adapters will enable any surface-mount IC package to mate with any standard PLCC socket. The adapters provide plug-in/plug-out capability for devices, including ICs, add-on circuitry and emulator cables.With these adapters, designers can make changes to existing boards without the need for redesign. They also facilitate debugging and troubleshooting. Typical examples include adapters for converting a 28-pin PLCC pad pattern to a 32-pin plug-in bottom, or a 40-pin DIP device to a 44-pin PLCC.
