VME CPU Board Supports PIII With Up To 1GB Of DRAM

Offering a choice of either a 700 MHz or 850 MHz Pentium III processor, the VP CP1/Pxx VME-based CPU board supports up to 1 GB of DRAM. The single-slot board includes 32 KB of level 1 cache and 256 KB of level 2 cache and incorporates the 82440BX chipset, which supports a 100 MHz front side bus.The DRAM can be installed on the board using a combination of SO-DIMMs and modules. Additional features of the board include support for a 10/100 Mb/s Ethernet interface via a front-panel RJ-45 connector, an EIDE interface, AGP graphics with flat-panel display support, and two RS-232 interfaces.PC-compatible features include keyboard and mouse ports, real-time clock, a floppy-disk interface, parallel port, two USB interfaces, and a watchdog timer. Hardware byte-swapping and bus-error detection as well as a PMC site are also included. Operating system support includes Windows NT, VxWorks, Solaris, QNX, and Linux.
