The DSP allows deployment of digital video cameras that can be programmed to respond to specific conditions while ignoring other objects or events within the same viewing area. The kit includes the DM642 board, which provides audio and video inputs and a camera sensor. The software provides object libraries for MPEG-4 encoding/decoding, audio compression, RTP/RTSP video streaming, and for PC display. Application development is via surveillance-specific source code for motion vector extraction, noise filtering, and dating and referencing.
