A new integrated RC network integrates four resistors and four capacitors in a 10-pin 1608 surface-mount package. Because of this, it takes up less board space than networks based on discrete resistors and capacitors, and less than networks composed of individual R and C arrays. The network is small enough to be placed beneath an IC, saving more board space and improving reliability due to shorter interconnections. Used in surface-mounting processes, the RC network allows for savings in placement and inspection costs as well.

The network is designed with concave terminations, giving it excellent mechanical strength and soldering quality. Two ground pins that are diametrically opposite each other on the package are included, simplifying placement on the pc board. The network has improved mechanical performance, compared to its discrete counterparts. It also has a low temperature coefficient of resistance, stable resistance, low noise, and low parasitic inductance. And, it's available in resistances from 10 Ω to 1 kΩ, and in capacitances from 10 to 180 pF.
