PCTEL, Inc. (www.pctel.com) has entered into an agreement to sell its HSP modem product line to Conexant (www.conexant.com) in exchange for IP, cash, and royalty payments. PCTEL will retain all rights to its modem portfolio, existing licensing business, and new Wi-Fi and wireless-network measurement businesses. It also will acquire ownership of several Conexant patent families. Additionally, Conexant will license PCTEL's Segue Wi-Fi software.
