Targeting low-power printed-circuit board (PCB) applications, the ECP20 series of 20-W ac-dc power supplies measure 2.64 by 1.57 by 0.73 in. Despite their compact size, though, these devices deliver 6.6 W per cubic inch and up to 87% efficiency (see the figure). The eight single-output units in the series cover the nominal voltages of 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 24, 30, or 48 V dc. The three dual-output models provide ±12, ±15, or ±24 V dc.
With a no-load power consumption of less than The ECP20 devices can operate from 0°C to 50°C without derating and up to 70°C with derating. No additional heatsinking or forced airflow is required to deliver full power capabilities. With their Class II input, no grounding is required, suiting the supplies for portable equipment designs or for applications where a reliable ground source isn’t always available. The devices already meet EN55022, level B for conducted and radiated electromagnetic compatibility, so external filtering components aren’t required. The models all carry EN and UL safety approvals as well.
All of the models are now available from stock. The single-output version costs $2574 in OEM quantities.
