A combination of thermal load boards and a thermal system based on the CompactPCI architecture makes up the RiTherm package, which offers sophisticated and simple evaluation and measurement of cooling in 6U CompactPCI systems. The system also evaluates power supply quality on CompactPCI backplanes. The load board is a concept that enables users to validate the thermal characteristics of their system before all pc boards are designed. The RiTherm system consists of a 10U CompactPCI subrack equipped with two hot-swappable 12V RiCool blowers, a CompactPCI backplane, and a pluggable power supply. It accepts up to 21 slots of front/rear mounted PCBs.
