Faster prototype development for a number of wireless spread-spectrum applications, including data networks and sophisticated security systems, is said to be possible with the compact WavePlex SX061. Designed to simplify the process of getting a modulated radio signal to track properly, the RF demodulator IC also makes it easier for engineers who aren't RF designers to incorporate wireless functions into their designs. It can demodulate both bi- and quad-phase digital modulated signals. Thanks to its on-board correlation flash capability, the device eliminates the need for multiple ICs to generate a flash, saving board space.
