Surface-Mount Heatsinks Require No Secondary Attachment Mechanisms

Sept. 1, 1998

Mounted and soldered directly to the surface of the pc board and requiring no secondary attachment mechanisms, this new line of surface-mount heatsinks has been developed for cooling D2-Pak and SO-10 packages. Designed to reduce heatsink installation costs while maintaining the sink's thermal integrity, the line includes Models 7106D and 7109 offering thermal resistance specs of 16.25°C/W and 11.25°C/W, respectively. Both sinks are made of a copper alloy having a Sn/Pb solder plating.
