Parallel Board-To-Board Connector Has 0.4-mm Pitch Contacts

May 1, 1999

Board stack heights from 4 to 4.5 mm, depending on the number of circuits desired, can be achieved using the Series JAS parallel board-to-board connectors. The connectors offer a contact pitch of just 0.4 mm. Plug housing is constructed of two separate parts, which allow the units to withstand greater torsional forces. And use of double-I reinforcing solder tabs is said to improve their peel strength. The connectors are especially suited for use in high-density consumer products that may be subject to harsh handling or vibration. Contact positions range from 80 to 100, depending on entry style.
