CPU Board Packs In The Features

May 1, 1999

The V255 CPU board is a dual-Pentium, embedded VMEbus CPU board with symmetrical multi-processing. It offers 512 kbytes of L2 cache, 256 Mbytes of system RAM, 64-bitBLT graphics, 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports, an Ultra-Wide SCSI interface, and a pair of PMC expansion ports. The board leverages the symmetric multi-processing facilities built into Windows NT, letting both Pentium CPUs work concurrently on the same program using a common high-speed local bus and I/O bus to access shared resources. It includes Intel's complete Embedded Chip Set. The V255 runs Windows NT and Solaris X86 as well as VxWorks and QNX real-time OS.
