Controller Provides Ethernet Connectivity

March 1, 2000

Claimed as typically being half the size and price of multi-axis controllers, the DMC-1415 is the newest member of the firm's Econo Series of single-axis motion controllers. The compact board measures just 3.75" x 5.0" and provides Ethernet and RS-232 communications.
With Ethernet connectivity, it allows easy, high-speed long distance communications between any number of computer hardware devices located on a LAN such as I/O modules, MMI interfaces, PCs, PLCs, motion controllers and vision systems. Modbus protocol, multiple slaves, and multiple masters are supported.
Key features of the controller include an extra encoder input for electronic gaming, non-volatile program memory with multi-tasking, uncommitted I/O, and user-selectable stepper or servo motor control.
