The CMF2 series of horizontal surface-mount common mode filters is said to deliver a cost-effective approach to noise reduction, enhancing overall performance of electronic systems. Applications for the CMF2 filters include power supplies, power regulators and dc/dc converters, but are said to be especially useful in test and measurement equipment, medical diagnostic equipment, industrial process control equipment, security systems, and laboratory analysis equipment. The CMF2 filters also employ an industry-standard footprint with fixed, coplanar, "J"-style terminals for improved board mounting integrity. The series complements an extensive range of designs for RF and power applications, including the Power Pod surface-mount inductor.
