The ARM Developer Suite provides a software development package for system-on-a-chip (SoC) applications based on the ARM architecture. The package contains all the tools needed to develop code for any microprocessor, microcontroller, ASSP, SoC or ASIC containing an ARM CPU core. It furnishes an integrated development environment, along with a C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker, run-time libraries, instruction-set simulator and a selection of source level debuggers. A real-time trace option provides an interface to emulation probes, such as the EPI MAJIC, that support the tracing features of the ARM EmbeddedTrace Macrocell. The ADS software toolkit complements the current EPI CCE-SDT toolkits and includes many new features and improvements. The ADS toolkit is available as a standalone package, as well as part of complete development kits. Development kits also include a development board and emulation probe. Prices start at $5,395 for a PC license and $6,295 for a UNIX floating license. The Real Time Trace option is $2000 additional. Complete Development Kits are available for under $9,000.
