C-Engine Eases Programming Tasks

May 1, 2001

Designed to ease programming and design tasks, the C-Engine is a compact, low-power, RISC-based c-engine that can be used wherever multiple serial ports, analog inputs and outputs, digital I/O, and on-board memory storage are required. The engine can be programmed using GNU shareware compiler, which eliminates the need to license a bios or operating system. The module packs a H8/3006 processor, compact flash slot supporting up to 64 MB, 256 KB of on-board flash upgradeable to 2 MB, support for parallel LCDs up to 4 x 40, and four digital I/O lines rated at 3.3V. Price starts at $188 each/100.
