A number of enhancements have been added to the company's AccuTouch five-wire resistive touch technology. First is Z-Border, a patent-pending electrode pattern that promises to significantly improve linear performance. It provides a precise straight edge that increases touch accuracy in the corners of the screen. Two other enhancements - namely, new ink and process changes - are said to deliver a more durable separator dot matrix: the physical dots are less visible when the display is powered up. Last but not least, a new 2215 serial board controller has been added that measures 60.325 mm x 31.75 mm, about half the size of its predecessor.
