Promising high-resolution, tri-channel video for military and aerospace command, control, and display applications, the V269 is claimed as the industry's fastest VME64 single-board computer (SBC). The board exploits a pair of hyperthreaded Pentium IV Xeon processors and a four-port, switched-fabric hub to achieve an aggregate I/O bandwidth in excess of 10 GB/s. It is available with up to 16 MB of DRAM, three Ethernet ports, eight USB ports, Ultra Wide SCSI 160/320, PMC expansion, and two 800 MB/s 1394B ports. The board's three-channel command-and-control video subsystem sports two ATI channels, each providing a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 with 2-D/3-D rendering capability. Via Windows XP or Linux, the channels can link to support a contiguous 4,096 x 1,536 resolution for dual monitors. Single-unit pricing starts at $3,220.
