The company's Hands-Free Kit (HFK)--a collaborative effort with Clarity Technologies--provides a complete DSP-based platform with real-time voice and audio enhancing algorithms. Employing a TMS320C5407 DSP, the kit includes Clarity's Clear Voice Capture noise and echo suppression software, said to yield natural sounding voice quality in high-noise environments. It relies on a FM transmitter to broadcast cell-phone calls through the car sound system, eliminating the need for an external speaker. Other kit features include an on-board microphone, a 2.5-mm microphone jack, three LEDs and three pushbuttons, user-programmable interface, Bluetooth daughter-card connector, and a JTAG connector. Price for the TDMSHFK- 5407 Hands-Free Kit is $1,495. TEXAS INSTRUMENTS INC., Dallas, TX. (800) 477-8924.
