A new 21-slot VME64x backplane complies with the latest ANSI/VITA 1.7-2003 Increased Current Level for 96 Pin and 160 Pin DIN/IEC Connector standard. Able to handle more than 150W per slot, ANSI/VITA 1.7 provides a standardized way to implement high-power VME64x systems. This low noise VITA 1.7 backplane is constructed with 12 layers for optimal signal integrity, with the outside layers incorporating a chassis ground EMI shield. It has been tested to meet the signal integrity requirements of 320 MB/s data transfer per ANSI/VITA 1.5 2eSST. The backplane is ANSI/VITA 5.1 RACEway qualified. Additional features include stiffeners for board rigidity, card guide alignment holes, and easy-to-wire 8 to 32 thread high-current power studs. Pricing starts at $999. HYBRICON CORP., Ayer, MA.
