Designed for use with the Maxstream and Digi XBee family of ZigBee radio modules, the XBM01 XBee adapter board promises to simplify a range of wireless interfacing tasks. The board measures 65 mm x 50 mm and employs a Microchip PIC processor configured to provide an ASCII based command interface that allows for wireless control and monitoring of up to 13 digital I/O points and five analog inputs (0V to 3.3V). On board power regulation accepts 4 to 12 Vdc and provides reverse-battery protection. Optional connections for SPI, I2C and TTL serial are available with custom firmware.
