Powered by a Core 2 Duo processor, the MB-73170 Mini ITX motherboard supports two GbE LAN ports and the IEEE 802.3u standard for network connectivity. Targeting POS, mobile kiosk, factory automation, gaming, multimedia, and digital-signage applications, it also relies on an Intel 965GME mobile chipset (GMA X3100) supporting dual independent displays, i.e., CRT + LVDS, CRT+DVI, etc. Two DIMM sockets handle up to 4 GB of DDR2 memory (533/667 MHz) and extra multimedia support comes via one PCI slot, a Mini PCI slot, and a CompactFlash socket. Two Serial ATA interfaces provide transfers at speeds up to a 150 MB/s. Other features include six USB 2.0 ports and six serial ports. Operating-system compatibility includes Windows XP/XP Embedded/Vista including 64-bit versions, and Linux Fedora 9, Suse 11, Debian/Ubuntu, Gentoo, Redhat, and FreeBSD.
